Part 1: How to Bring Well-Being Debriefings to Your Organization
WHEN
-
Wednesday, July 16 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. ET
Working in health care takes a toll on the emotional well-being of health care workers. Many of us are looking for proven strategies to mitigate the natural stress, empathic strain, and moral distress that we are experiencing. Well-being debriefings help with this. In fact, since CAPC launched its virtual well-being debriefings in 2020, many clinicians across the U.S., and globally, have consistently turned to them for support.
Peer-facilitated well-being debriefings are an evidence-based way to support health care workers. hey increase social support, decrease feelings of isolation, and provide opportunities to learn from each other when coping with difficult issues. The result: positive impact on individual and team well-being, improved patient care, and reduced feelings of distress.
In this updated, two-part webinar series, Vickie Leff, LCSW, will train attendees to be peer facilitators for well-being debriefings, providing the planning, strategies, and skills needed to bring this successful program to their organizations.
In part one, attendees will learn how well-being debriefings help health care workers; how to make the case to leadership; the debriefing format, structure, and timing; the role of the facilitator; how to validate the normal, expectable stress that accompanies our work; and how to navigate challenging group situations.
This webinar will be followed by part two, in which attendees will expand on the specific strategies for guiding well-being debriefings, redirecting and refocusing techniques, and important guidelines as a peer facilitator.
