Remote, NY, United States
Description
The Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) is a national organization dedicated to ensuring access to quality, equitable health care for people living with serious illness. CAPC pursues its mission through the development and delivery of tools, training and technical assistance along three strategies – driving the health and growth of specialty palliative care, catalyzing care quality improvement among non-palliative care audiences, and reducing inequities in the care of people with serious illness. CAPC is a program of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
We are embarking on a major effort to identify, analyze, and disseminate best practices in caring for Hispanic/Latino patients living with serious illness, together with their caregivers. This will result in implementation guidance for palliative care programs across the country, as well as targeted state and federal policy communications.
CAPC is seeking an intern to assist in the collection and analysis of current quality improvement efforts aimed at this population. In addition, the intern will support the creation of academic papers, posters, and other outputs. While this position will report to the Associate Director for Research and Insights, they will work closely with CAPC’s Health Equity team. This is a fully remote position.
