Matthew J. Loscalzo, LCSW
Matthew J. Loscalzo, LCSW, Consultant, INCITE Program Faculty, is the founding Executive Director and now Emeritus Professor in Supportive Care Medicine, City of Hope. He has held leadership positions at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Johns Hopkins Oncology Center, Rebecca and John Moores Cancer Center at the UCSD and is now in his 18th year at City of Hope-National Medical Center. He has been a consultant to multiple major cancer organizations on how to build supportive care programs, implement new processes, and enhance staff engagement; and has developed a unique staff leadership model. Professor Loscalzo has been the PI and faculty on multiple NCI funded training grants that teach health care professionals to build supportive care programs, comprehensive automated biopsychosocial screening programs, pain management, and advanced cognitive behavioral skills. He will serve as INCITE faculty, including providing guidance to Drs. Applebaum and Odom on the development of the INCITE program based on his own extensive experience with successful R25 programs and will present on the incremental scale-up of new programs and for positioning programs for long-term sustainability during the in-person 3-day workshop
