Laurel Kilpatrick

Laurel Kilpatrick, MD, FAAHPM

Dr. Laurel Kilpatrick is a practicing palliative care physician and currently serves as Director of the Division of Supportive Palliative Care at Baylor Scott & White in Temple, TX, and Co-Director for the BSWH Serious Illness Care Program. She is a clinician educator and enjoys teaching learners about serious illness communication skills, advance care planning, wellbeing and leadership skills.

Dr. Kilpatrick graduated from Texas A&M University College of Medicine, completed a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Geriatrics Wake Forest Baptist Health. She completed fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

She has a passion for supporting women physicians and addressing burnout so physicians can stay well and continue to practice medicine. She is a certified Life Coach and runs a coaching business that focuses on professional development for women physicians.
